Quota’s Region 4 just held its annual meeting and we’re geeked (totally thrilled) that all of Quota International is invited to Grand Rapids Michigan for Convention 2020.
Meet Region 4 ⇒
130 members strong in 5 clubs, with a deep history of service and accomplishments. Quota came to Michigan in 1944 when Quota Club of Flint was founded. Other clubs followed and now include Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Port Huron and Iosco County. And, we are developing electronic connections with members in other cities!
We are proud that 3 Past International Presidents came from Michigan! We’ve seen the natural ebb and flow of membership as we learn new ways to serve and grow and stay energized. The service and fund raising projects throughout the state continue to make a difference every day, created by experienced and new members alike, all on behalf of the caring and sharing spirit of Quota.
Whether it’s the long-running Annual Spring Luncheon or Salmon Stakes (the longest running fishing tournament in Michigan) – the scrumptious Gourmet Delight event or the Trivia Tournament – Quota moose for hospitalized children or Pancakes with the Easter Bunny – Collecting towels for recycling into diapers or the 25th Annual Christmas party, the Food Bank – the Bowl-a-thon – the 10th Annual Duck Walk – Hearing loops for public venues – Hearing aids or assistive listening equipment – Sign language interpreters – Scholarships or Signing Santa — these inspired projects showcase the warmth and caring of every Michigan Quotarian. As one member said, “Wonderful people doing fabulous activities for their communities!”
And now, Region 4 is totally thrilled to welcome all Quotarians to Michigan in July 2020. Our group is eager to take the mittens off their own hands to share the Michigan Mitten and help make Convention 2020 fabulous and inspiring for everyone.
This is part of our Convention Series, written by Cathy Kaiser. We thank her and all of Region 4 for their continued support and excitement of Convention 2020.
