Sharon Kummerow, Quota International of Paris, TN
Quota International of Paris, TN
Sharon Kummerow has been an active member of Quota International of Paris since becoming a member in October 2002. Our current chaplain, Sharon has served two years on the Mental Health, Hog Killin’, Hearing & Speech, Spring Fling, and Community Service committees.
A resident of Henry County, Tennessee, for almost 11 years, Judy has also been very active in the community. She is a member of the Holy Cross Church and has taught Sunday school for eight years. She is an active participant in the church’s annual Oktoberfest, and has co-chaired the exhibits for the last five years. At Henry County High School and Grove Middle School, she has volunteered and chaired numerous fundraisers.
Her volunteer service with the 4-H has been extensive, spending hours transporting 4-H participants to events, chaperoning trips to 4-H Congress, Round-Up, All Star Meetings, and her family was honored as the 4-H Family of the year in 2000. She assisted with the formation of the Paris Jaguars Travel Soccer Club and was team manager for five years.
As an active member for 10 years of Athena Delphian, she has served as president and was a member of Bravo at the time the Krider Performing Arts Center was built. Her involvement was instrumental in the club’s purchase of the Steinway piano for the theater.
Sharon is very active with the Henry County Helping Hand Program, which raises thousands of dollars to be distributed in the community. She has been a contributor for 11 years, regular volunteer for five years, and is in her third year on the board.
Quota International of Paris is proud to have Sharon as a member of the Paris club. Sharon’s out going personality, upbeat attitude, and volunteer spirit made her a great choice for Paris club volunteer of the year. We are honored to present her as a candidate for International Volunteer of the Year.
