Anne Reed

Quota International of West Memphis, AR,

Anne Reed joined Quota International of West Memphis in 2001, and has jumped into Quota with both feet. Anne already has completed many hours of service and tackled many service and fund-raising projects. Every year, we count on Anne’s input and hard work on our major fund-raiser, the Hillbilly Hoe-Down, in addition to being cast in the show as “Southern Belle”. She is currently serving as Chairman of our Service to Elderly committee, and working on a beautiful quilt to be raffled for Quota.

Anne lives in Marion, Arkansas, with her husband Denver; they have one daughter Lisa Palmer and two grandchildren. Anne is a faithful member of Avondale Baptist Church where she is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Serves as Secretary of the Bible Study Fellowship. Anne retired from Riggs Tractor Co. with 43 years of service, and is currently working part-time at the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce as its Membership Director. She attends every Business after Hours that the chamber hosts, and in her “spare” time volunteers to help wherever she’s needed, including assisting with activities for residents at Ingram Court Senior Apartments and serving as Relay and Registration Chairman for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. When we asked Anne about her hobbies, she said she enjoys working with her flowers, sewing, quilting, cooking, and one of her newest hobbies, grilling on a gas grill.

Anne is more than just dependable and does a remarkable job with everything she undertakes, and that is saying a lot. That is why all of us at Quota International of West Memphis want to honor her with our Year 2005 Volunteer of the Year Award.
