Quota International of Pawtucket, RI
Quota International of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is proud to recognize Ann L. Hogan as Volunteer of the Year. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, Ann is well-known throughout the city for her spirit of volunteerism and her dedication to family, friends, and community.
For the past 32 years, Ann has been a dedicated Quotarian, continuously active in all club activities and projects. She has held many offices including club president and district governor. She has been a club leader especially in the areas of recruitment and service.
Quota is only one segment of Ann’s long history of service to the community, where she has been a volunteer with various groups such as the Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, the American Heart Association, the Pawtucket Heart Health Program, and numerous civic committees and activities. Because of her outstanding contributions to the community, Ann was elected to the Pawtucket Hall of Fame.
Ann is currently most active not only in Quota but also in the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs where she has been president and member of the board at both local and state levels. She also volunteers and is a member of the board at the Arc of Blackstone galley and the Pawtucket Day Child Development Center. At her church she serves as lector, CCD teacher, and Eucharistic minister, who distributes communion at a local hospital and nursing home.
With over 40 years of service in the Pawtucket School District before retiring, Ann was an elementary teacher, school librarian, reading specialist, teacher of the gifted and talented, coordinator of several federally funded programs, and a member of district committees involving school reform and curriculum development.
The name Ann L. Hogan is synonymous with community service. For this reason she has been chosen unanimously for the Quota Volunteer of the Year Award.
