June Dangar

Quota International of Armidale, NSW

June Dangar is an active member of Quota International of Armidale, and she has served on many committees in her club and within her district. June joined a Quota trip to India in March and has been on hand for Quota International conventions in Columbus, Vale, Boston, Calgary, and Brisbane. She has attended all Quota training seminars from 1998 and all of the District 24 conferences up until this year. June extends herself in the duties of running the Armidale Quota club and does extra duties where needed at club meetings. This year and for the past few years, June has allowed many functions to be held in her home and within her garden. She often is a silent donor to many costs involved in fund-raising. June, who runs her own jewelry business, designed and donated a beautiful pendant for the last South Pacific Area meeting. Also, when she was governor, she donated a piece of glassware to each club, so that they could use it to raise funds for a worthy cause. She regularly sponsors sporting trophies and is a donor to charity within Armidale. June’s community activities include being the president of the PCYC Advisory Council for six years; treasurer and member of the board of Jobs Australia Armidale (currently); and participation in the Australia Day Committee, Meals on Wheels, and other charitable efforts. June also enjoys sports, including hockey as a player, coach, and umpire. While in Papua New Guinea, she represented Australia in hockey. She is currently treasurer of the Eastwood Tennis Club and plays tennis and golf on a regular basis. Quota International of Armidale honors June for her unflagging generosity and volunteer spirit!
