Patricia Walsh

Quota International of Ryde, NSW

Patricia Walsh joined Quota International while she was sister in charge of obstetrics at Cowra District Hospital in 1956. She later retired and transferred to the Ryde District, where she became a member of the Ryde Quota club in 1983. Throughout her time with Quota, Patricia has always been committed to service to her country and community. She worked diligently from then to now to ensure the success of fund-raising and fellowship activities, and she has held every office in her club. She enthusiastically participated while her club raised from $5,000 to $7,000 each year for community projects, including Better Hearing Australia, Ryde Riding for the Disabled, Hornsby Heights Rural Fire Brigade, Kidney Kids Camp, and the Lymphoedema Support Group. She is the club’s adviser in governance and finance and has attended workshops to keep up-to-date with legal requirements. Patricia has also helped to organize several Quota conferences and conventions. For the past eight years, she has coordinated her club’s efforts to collect bears for the New South Wales Ambulance Association and to work on a regular basis with the Lupus Association of New South Wales to prepare newsletters for mailing. Since 1983, Patricia has worked one day each week as a volunteer at Hornsby Hospital. Quota International of Ryde is proud to honor Patricia Walsh for generously donating her time and talents in the spirit of volunteerism.
