Donna Cherry

Quota International of Bossier City, LA

Donna Cherry exemplifies service and dedication to her Quota club and her community. Donna was introduced to Quota in the early 1970s, and in the following six years, she held every vice-presidential seat and was president. Donna then left Quota for a time, but when she returned, she once again held every vice-presidential seat and was also secretary. Donna has chaired the Tour of Homes and works on the luncheon every year. She also chaired the Service Committee three years ago and is always available to chair committees or help in any way needed. In the community, Donna is just as active. She has held every office at the Bossier Arts Council, except treasurer, twice. The council places art throughout the city, gives grants to schools, and sends artists into schools as teachers. Donna has been an Eagle in the Military Affairs Council for ten years and is in her third year on the Mayor’s Women’s Commission, a group that sponsors a women’s health fair, a Women’s Week luncheon, and mentoring for high school seniors on service to their community. Donna is very busy, but that is the way she likes it: “All my volunteering has taught me so very much. I have received much, much more out of this than I ever could have given. My cup is full…”
