2002 Volunteers of the Year

Kim Varner, Quota International of Preston County, WV

Kim Varner

Quota International of Preston County, WV

Incoming vice-president Kim Varner has been a Quota member for two years and has served on many committees. Currently, she is doing an excellent job as chair of the Hearing and Speech Committee. Kim became chairperson of a project targeting preschoolers who do not have good communication and interactive skills. She headed up the project’s first “Family Fun Night,” which was well attended. Kim not only volunteers her time for Quota, but she is also the assistant 4-H leader for the Kingwood Trail Blazers; a volunteer interpreter at 4-H camp; a Sunday school and Bible school teacher at her church; and chairperson for Preston County’s “Relay for Life.” Kim somehow finds time to volunteer despite working full-time and helping her parents deliver the daily newspaper, all with a great attitude and a smile on her face!
