Ferne Petrie

Quota International of Monrovia-Duarte, CA

“Ferne with an E,” as she is affectionately referred to by her Quota friends, puts her heart and soul into her many Quota projects. The “E” of course refers to Ferne’s enthusiasm. Whether she is hosting a club social event or fund-raising event, driving her classic Mercedes convertible in the Founders Day Parade, mentoring members in their service activities, or supporting members in their effort to move up the leadership ladder, Ferne’s constant commitment is ever present. This past April, Ferne served as the chair of the club’s major fund-raiser, Salute to Staff, hosting over 250 guests, including honored staff members from local businesses. The success of the event was measured in many ways, including the recruitment of two new members to the club. Ferne’s hobbies include entertaining in the backyard of her beautiful mountain home overlooking Monrovia’s Cloverleaf Canyon, cooking, tennis, swimming, and traveling. In addition to her active work in Quota, Ferne donates her spare time to other organizations including the Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, her church, the YMCA, PEO, and her husband Lou’s Rotary club.
