Evelyn Poole

Quota International of Petersburg, VA

Evelyn Poole has been a faithful Quotarian for 28 years. She has held every office and presided over the club in 1977-79. When not working part-time for a local company, Evelyn spends her spare time making her famous green pepper jelly. Each year she mixes up several batches as a fund-raiser for the club. This past year she sold more pecans than any other club member, and each year she can be found sprinkling powdered sugar on delicious cakes during the club’s funnel cake fund-raiser. Local primary grade students have been lucky to have Evelyn as a tutor. She is treasurer of the Women’s Committee of the Petersburg Symphony. Evelyn was the first woman to serve on the vestry of the Episcopal church she attends, and she has also served as registrar. Evelyn is always eager to help Quota and her community with a ready smile and a helping hand to lend when needed.
