Quota International of Northside Atlanta, GA

Wilda Owens is an extremely active volunteer—spending over thirty years involved in at least three organizations at a time, often more. Wilda’s specialty is in service for the deaf, and her record offers an amazing list of such service. Since 1970, she has been actively involved with the Georgia Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, holding the vice-president, treasurer, and secretary positions. Wilda has served twelve years on the board of directors for the Georgia Council for the Hearing-Impaired, and she is about to start her third term as treasurer. Joining Quota in 1975, Wilda has served as club president, spent four terms as secretary-treasurer for District 8, a term as District 8 Governor, and is currently club treasurer and District 8 Secretary-Treasurer-Elect. She is always ready to work, be it helping to start a state school for the deaf or just comforting the parents of deaf children. From physical work to warm welcomes for new members and guests, Wilda is a loving, sharing, integral part of her club.
