Ruth Budge

Quota International of Coffs Harbour, NSW

Ruth Budge is a true giver. After raising three sons, Ruth joined the volunteer force. As a member of Quota, she has been an invaluable member. She has held the role of club treasurer, is the chief organizer of successful raffles, and is a strong force in many other fundraisers and club functions. Her most noted activity in the community is her work at the Christian Community School, where she has been volunteering her services for seven years. Ruth works four days a week with special needs children, ranging from literacy support to re-enforcing learned material. Perhaps her most amazing feat, Ruth taught herself how to touch type in order to be able to teach a partially blind student the same skill. Loved and appreciated by all at the school, Ruth has acquired the nickname “Grandma Budge” for her outstanding service to others.
