Service on Site

"Dress for Success" is the theme of Convention 2008’s "Service-on-Site" project.

At every convention, a special Service-on-Site project is planned, and in San Jose Quota members will assist disadvantaged women who are trying to jump-start a career. Convention attendees are invited to bring gently worn or new professional clothing to donate. Donations will be collected by Quota’s District 12 Welcome Committee volunteers and will be distributed through Career Closet, a volunteer-based organization that serves the San Jose vicinity. Committed to helping women be successful, Career Closet assists women to choose clothing that will help them gain and retain employment, advance their careers, and improve family stability. Last year, the organization assisted more than 1,800 women for job interviews. In addition to clean business clothing in all sizes (petite to plus), “Casual Friday” clothing, accessories, and shoes are needed. Plan now to bring one or more items with you to convention and invite members of your club to donate, too!
