Jean Steel to speak at Quotas Convention
Make
Room for Quota: Creating Balance in Your Life
Being
involved with Quota International IS good for our health! Research proves
that volunteers get a "helpers' high" from giving. But how do
we balance the volunteer activities that bring joy to others (and to ourselves!)
with the demands and stress of everyday life?
On Monday morning, July 14, our final day of convention, dynamic keynote
speaker Jean Steel will share a variety of strategies to help us achieve
and sustain total well-being in our personal, professional, and Quota
lives. Author of Id Like to Run Wild!, a wellness
action guide, Jean is an engaging and enthusiastic speaker who teaches
techniques that WILL reduce stress levels, help us appreciate our accomplishments,
develop an attitude of gratitude, and nurture our zest for living.
But beware: you just might catch Jeans enthusiasm and leave convention
feeling motivated, energized, and ready to achieve total well-being!
The cost of this program is included in your convention registration
fee.

About
Jean Steel:
Born
in Los Angeles and raised in Africa and Asia from the age of four,
Jean Steel moved frequently and changed schools often. As a result,
she developed strength, resilience, flexibility, and a keen appreciation
for life. Jean graduated from the University of California at Santa
Barbara with a degree in sociology and began her career as a health
educator, working with clients in universities and in community,
medical, and court-mandated settings. Later, based on her conviction
that the mind and body work together towards ones health and
well-being, she earned her Masters Degree from Sacramento
State University in Mind & Body Health and Wellness. Her consulting
firm, Wellness Works, designs and facilitates courses
in wellness, communication, teamwork, and customer relations. Her
programs and speeches are extremely popular and are given nation-wide
at universities, businesses, conferences, and hospitals. Jean is
also a consultant for the California State Department of Health
Services campaign to educate medical professionals and women
on breast cancer detection.
Jeans universal appeal is that she has a knack for providing
information in a humorous and memorable way, proving that laughter
and learning are not mutually exclusive. Jean has just written Id
like to Run Wild!, a book that enfolds all of the powerful
concepts she teaches, the best of the wisdom shes gained from
her work with others, and some poignant and funny real-life stories.
