International Silent Auction

A favorite member tradition continues at Convention 2008—our fabulous “kick off” International Silent Auction shopping extravaganza held in conjunction with our Opening Ceremonies reception. If you like to shop AND connect with old and new Quota friends, this event is for you!

This year we are asking ALL convention registrants and ALL Quota districts to contribute one or more items to the auction. All proceeds support our Wanda Frey Joiner Development Fund, which makes our work in new club organization, development and growth, and strategic planning possible. You might consider your donation an early birthday present in celebration of Quota’s upcoming 90th year!

Bring an item that reflects the local flavor and culture of your area. Always popular are handmade items, jewelry, accessories, and art. Other ideas for high bid items (always appreciated and welcomed!) include airline tickets accumulated through frequent flier miles and donated vacation rental property for several days to a week. Collectibles, books, dolls, clothing, and home and decorative items have also been popular auction items in the past. We suggest a product(s) easy to transport, so that you can get it to the hotel easily and so that the winning bidder may take it home hassle-free. Bring an item(s) that you can pack in your suitcase if possible, rather than shipping it ahead of time.
