Convention 2006 Party Night at Seaworld
An Evening of Quota Fellowship and Fun

Tonight we join together for a new experience—a Convention 2006 party hosted by your president and board of directors at Gold Coast's wonderful Seaworld. This evening, the park is open especially and exclusively for you, our convention members, and your guests. This is your opportunity to dine and party with your own club members, your whole district, or the new friends you have made from other countries—the choice is yours. The cost for the evening includes all entry fees, all special shows planned just for our group, a delicious Aussie BBQ, a complimentary drink at one of three drink stations (additional drinks are available for purchase), and roundtrip coach transportation.

Our coaches will be ready to depart Conrad Jupiters at 6:00 p.m. for the short ride through Surfers Paradise, the only place on the Gold Coast offering late night shopping every night. But there is no time for shopping tonight as we make our way to Southport and Seaworld on Southport's Spit—Australia's best known marine park.

We will enter the park at the entrance to Dolphin Cove for a wonderful 20-minute show planned especially for us. Sea World's own Dolphin Cove is one of the most environmentally friendly lagoon habitats in the world. You'll make contact with nature and discover amazing new insights into the fascinating world of the dolphins. You also might want to enjoy a drink at our Dolphin Cove drink station.

Come face to face with a polar bear when you visit Polar Bear Shore—home to two orphaned cubs, Hudson and Nelson, recently found in the wilds of Canada, and three-year-old twins Lia and Lutik. The exhibit is a near-natural Artic summer environment featuring wind generation, misting and fogging, rain simulation, creeks and waterfalls, and natural vegetation. Polar Bear Shore is also the site of our second drink station!

Wandering on farther through the park, we reach the Plaza, our venue for an Aussie barbeque dinner and final drink station. The Plaza offers outdoor dining in a colonial village setting, and you will enjoy a buffet, including sirloin steak, grilled barramundi (one of Queensland's most prized table fish), chicken satay, salads, and vegetables followed by platters of Queensland's beautiful tropical fruit, a dessert selection, and cheese board. You will have ample time to enjoy your meal and the fellowship of fellow Quotarians before moving on to the Top Terrace for the finale of the evening—a spectacular fireworks display set to music. At about 9:30 p.m. your coach will be waiting to transport you back to the Conrad Jupiters hotel.

This event will be outside—it will be chilly—so a warm jacket, comfortable walking outfit, and shoes should be the dress code for the evening. The park can assist people with walking difficulties, if prior notice is provided.

This Sunday evening event will be a highlight of the Gold Coast Convention—don't miss it! The cost for the Quota Fellowship Party at Seaworld is U.S.$85 or Aus.$100, and you and your guests can sign up and pay for the party on your Convention 2006 registration form.
