South Area Meeting Update from Paula April

Hey to everyone!!!

Okay everybody—let's get rollin. This broadcast is only going to VIP's, governors, and presidents—so pleaseeeeeeeee check with all the members in your club and bring them up to date.

To date we have about 50 reservations in hand and have heard from about another dozen people that their's is on the way. Let's get a move on! We really need to get your reservation so we can make all of our final plans. I will be prepared to take on-site reservations; but not a lot of them—because I will have had to turn in the meal guarantees and seating arrangements to the hotel—so I can always add a handful at the last minute but not lots. We are trying desperately to get to 100 for this conference—so now is the time to make that final decision and come on to Memphis for what will be the best South Area Meeting yet.

Tons and tons of ideas, great program speakers, loads of wonderful food and fun, and our SAMY's are terrific—yes, they have been judged, and you will just have to come to find out who our winners are.

So here are your orders for today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Send in your registration!!!!!!!!!!! Again I tell you that (except for Enid), if you sent your registration and money to the address in Gulfport, we have not gotten it, and you need to resend it directly to Rosemary Hannie. Today, I am going to start doing a separate broadcast to those people for whom we have registrations in hand.
   
   
2. Make your hotel room reservations. Note: our room block will be dropped on Oct. 1, so after that time, you need to call me to get a hotel room. I will be holding some in my name to help you last-minute decision makers.
   
   
3. If you have not done so, you need to send right now your "30 Ideas for Social, Fun, Fundraising, Membership." Do not bring them with you. You must send them now, so that we can make the appropriate copies for everyone plus add some to our program matter. You can fax them to me at 228-594-3812 or directly to Rosemary Hannie. Or you can e-mail to either one of us. You should have all of our e-mail numbers.
   
   
4. We are still looking for choir members. Contact Rosemary Patterson directly (or you can let Rosemary Hannie or myself know directly. There will be rehearsal time during the conference.
   
   
5. We are still looking for acts for the Blues Show. I know there is some great talent out there. Challenge—all of you PIP's who will be in attendance—you gals need to get together and do something. We all know you are talented.

So, that is it for now. We are not letting two little "ole gals" by the names of Katrina and Rita get us down and stop us from moving forward—so I ask that each and every one of you get on board and move forward with us!!!!!!!!

Let's have one heck of a Quota South Area Conference—one that will go down in the history books as "WOW."
