March 7, 2005
Dear Fellow Quotarians,
March is Quota Cares Month, the We Share Foundation's annual international
public awareness initiativea great opportunity for your club to
polish and shine its community public relations efforts. The goal is simple:
every club is invited to conduct one special, newsworthy service project
in March. This is an opportunity for your club to spread the word about
Quota, connecting new members from the community, raising additional funds
for the club, and strengthening your own club membership. For more ideas
and information please click
here.

Tsunami
Relief Effort
Quota clubs worldwide have continued their work in raising funds to assist
the Tsunami relief effort. To read all of the moving stories we have received
thus farincluding a story from Executive Director Kathleen Treiber

Director Nancy Fitzpatrick at nancy@quota.org.
Or, fax it to Nancy at 202.331.4395.
District
Dynamo Award
Our 2004-2005 District Dynamo membership contest ends on March 31, so
if you have new members to report, please do so immediately. This year's
award is a gorgeous engraved silver-plated tray that will be awarded to
the club that reports the highest net membership percentage gain in each
district. To view the latest membership statistics for all of the clubs
in your district as of February 28, please click

Club
Awards Programs
Do you ever wonder where we find the stories that we publish on our Web
site? Many stories come from our clubs all over the world through their
submittals to our Excellence Awards and Quota Cares Month annual competitions.
Deadlines for both programs are fast approaching: April 1, 2005 is this
year's deadline for the Excellence Awards and April 15, 2005 is the deadline
for Quota Cares Month Competition. I encourage your club to submit an
entry this year. It is heartwarming to read about the service projects
that Quotarians are providing throughout the world in their communities.
We make a difference, and it truly shows in the faces and the hearts of
those whom we help. For more information about Quota Cares Month, click

Travel
Update
I look forward to attending the South Pacific Area Meeting in Rotorua,
New Zealand, March 11-13. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet
with Quotarians from the South Pacific Area and to share our ideas and
enjoy fellowship while celebrating our successes.
Quota
Publications
The 2005 Quotarian magazine has been mailed, and you should
be receiving your copy this month. It is a gorgeous issue, one filled
with many stories, ideas, and photos capturing Quotarians doing their
best. I want to express my thanks to those who submitted stories and to
our staff who did an excellent job in putting it altogether! Be sure to
read the story on Quota's first-ever stamp. I also want to alert you to
the publication of a new issue of our award-winning We Share e-zine
published on www.wesharefoundation.org. To view this new issue, click

Quota
International 2005 Nominees
Your club will be receiving our 2005 governance mailing shortly, and I
encourage you to review the information at your club meeting. This is
an opportunity for club members to decide who should represent them on
the International Board. Quota International is fortunate to have qualified
and dedicated leaders who are willing to make the sacrifices to lead our
organization. I thank them for making the effort to run and wish them
well in their election. To view or print the 2005 nominee brochure, which
will also be included in the governance mailing your club receives, click
here*.
In closing, there is an old saying: "There are no accidents in life.
You are where you are, doing what you do, meeting those whom you need
to meet." We are together in Quota for a reason and it is a very
good one. You are dear and special to me as well as to those whom you
come into contact with through your Quota activities. Sometimes we need
a little reminding about our true purpose and how to get the most out
of life, and so I would like to share the following with you:
