President’s Message

2007-2008
International President
Daryl Perrine

July 20, 2007

Dear Fellow Quotarians,

Last evening as the sun set in Washington, D.C., board members—along with family, friends, and several past international presidents and past board members—gathered to celebrate the installation of the incoming Quota International Board of Directors and pay tribute to our outgoing leaders—President Enid Croes-Marugg, East Area Director Diane Labrecque, and South Pacific Area Director Janice Woolrych. Each of these women has shared her sunshine by giving selflessly of her time, talents, and resources, and I ask that you join me in thanking them for their dedicated service to Quota International.

As your new international president, I am honored and privileged to lead our organization alongside the talented team you elected. Our mission is to build a collaborative force of members who actively serve community needs and projects, foster friendship, and promote personal development through a network of local clubs. (To meet Quota's 2007-2008 Board of Directors, click here.)

As president, I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at the area meetings and district conferences, and I will visit some Quota countries to celebrate your achievements, understand the challenges in your communities, and promote expansion of our membership through service activities and projects.

Music is a powerful medium that has the power to lift our spirits, touch our souls, and blend a myriad of different instruments into one beautiful song. Therefore, I invite you to lift your Quota voice and join me as we Create a Chorus of Caring, my theme for the coming year. Thomas Carlyle's quote, "Music is well said to be the speech of angels," could well have been written to describe you, our wonderful Quotarians around the world. We represent many cultures and a wide array of talents, and yet we are dedicated to achieving one common goal: serving and improving the lives of those less fortunate.

Life is a symphony and we are the musicians! Together we will share our beautiful music around the world.

Yours in Quota,

Daryl Perrine
International President
