Dear Fellow Quotarians,
Quota is on the move all over the world. While members in the Northern
Hemisphere are returning from their summer vacations, Southern Hemisphere
Quotarians are looking forward to warmer days as they plan their spring
activities.
AREA
MEETINGS
Our area directors are well underway with plans for the upcoming area
meetings in September and October. I appreciate their efforts in arranging
stimulating programs and exciting fellowship events, which I'm sure will
result in wonderful meetings. I'm currently making my travel plans to
attend all area meetings and look forward to spending this special time
with as many of you as possible. If you've not already made arrangements
to attend your area meeting, I encourage you to attend. Here are the dates
and locations:
- September 23-25: Central Area Meeting, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.
- October 1-2: Canada Area Meeting, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
- October 13-16: South Area Meeting, Memphis, Tennessee
- October 14-16: East Area Meeting, Manchester, New Hampshire

GOVERNOR
CLUB VISITS
District Leaders are busy, too, with plans for their club visits and the important
task of bringing the international message to all of our members.
Members will learn about the wonderful things that are happening in Quota's
world. We have much to celebrate as Quota completes the second year of
our organization-wide calendar change.
CONVENTION
2006
It's not too early to begin your planning for Convention 2006! Our theme
is CONVENTION 2006: GOING FOR THE GOLDcoast, and I hope you will make
plans to attend! The official dates are July 21-24, 2006, but come
early and stay later to enjoy wonderful pre- and post-convention tours.
Here are some wonderful reasons to come:
REASON #1:
CONVENTION 2006 PARTY NIGHT
Plans
for Quota's first-ever Convention 2006 Party Night have been unveiled.
Australia's Seaworld Theme Park is closing its doors just for Quota convention
attendees and guests for a private evening of fabulous entertainment,
food, fun, and fireworks. This is your opportunity to dine and party with
your own club members, your whole district, or the new friends you have
made from other countriesthe choice is yours. And all board members,
including myself, will be there to meet and greet you. The cost for the
evening includes all entry fees, all special shows planned just for our
group, a delicious Aussie BBQ, a complimentary drink at one of three drink
stations (additional drinks are available for purchase), and roundtrip
motor coach transportation. To learn more about this exciting evening,

#2:
CONVENTION'S FIRST-EVER GUEST PROGRAM
New at Convention 2006, we are offering a comprehensive guest program
that will entertain friends or family members who may be traveling with
you to Convention 2006. It's hard to be a spectator on Australia's Gold
Coast, and your guests will have the option of enjoying golf, fishing,
canal cruises, and sightseeing adventures. For more information, click

REASON #3:
EXCITING PRE- AND POST-CONVENTION TOURS
Convention
won't be all work and no play! You can enjoy tours to Gold Coast beaches,
World Heritage-listed national parks in the subtropical rainforest, plus
wineries and arts and crafts galleries of the area. Encounters with fun-loving
Australians and stunning wildlife will leave you spellbound. This
year we have a wonderful range of half- and full-day tours to start or
end your Gold Coast visit and an exciting four-day/four-night Quota friendship
tour, which I assure you will be the visit of a lifetime. You will meet
local Quotarians on the way. For more information on Convention tours,

There is a lot happening in Quota and this is just a snapshot; it is
an exciting time for all Quota members wherever we are as we encourage
each other to achieve our goals, be they personal, club, district, or
area. We do make a difference in the communities we serve, if we reach
out together.
Yours in Quota,
