Literacy in Spotlight at July Convention

During past conventions, Quota International has collected children's books from around the world. Members who attend bring books from their native lands. Many hospitals, schools, day care centers, and after school tutorials have benefited from this on-site project.

The tradition continues at Convention 2003 in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A. Bring a children's book that is special to you—and don't forget to sign it! If you cannot attend, give your book to a member who is coming or mail it to the QI Office.

Then, be inspired by convention speaker, Elodia Blanco, Manager/Programs Director of the New Orleans Police Foundation and Director of the Foundation's Cops and Kids Program, the recipient of all books donated to this year's Service-on-Site project. On Tuesday morning, July 22, Elodia will accept Quota's donation and share insights about her work in the Cops and Kids arena.
