What are your goals for your specific region?
My goal is to successfully combine District 8 and District 27 into a cohesive, dynamic, diversified, service oriented, and FUN, region. Being the first Region Director means that I will be responsible for all the administrative work to establish the region as a legal entity. I would like to see all the clubs work on a common service project. I would also like to encourage the use of social media for communication between the clubs in the region and with internation (ie…skype).
What do you do outside of Quota?
I own and manage an independent insurance agency, Brooker Insurance Agency, Inc. We have been operating under that name since 1997. Being a small family business, you can imagine that I wear many hats (agent, manager, treasurer, and toilet bowl cleaner occassionally). I am very priviledged to serve my church as the Adult Sunday School Teacher. I have grown tremendously on a personal, spiritual level while serving in this position. I am also the president for our Ladies Ministry Group, conducting monthly meetings and planning annual retreats.
Every Christmas, I GET TO, to direct the children’s Christmas play.
What else would you like to share with the members of your region?
QUOTA is so much a part of who I have become. My greatest pleasure is to serve someone in need. Truly, the call to servanthood is the greatest call any of us can have on our lives. T his wonderful organization gives me a platform to help those less fortunate than I. The friends that I have made, the travels that I have taken, none would have been possible without the blessing of Quota.
