R16 – Pam Scott
Quota International of Gridley, California, USA (District 36)
What are your qualifications for the position of Quota Regional Director?
My qualification for the position of Quota Regional Director includes serving in the positions of club President and currently District 36 Governor. I also served as District 36 Lieutenant Governor and two terms as Secretary/Treasurer, as well as, club President-Elect, Vice President, Recording Secretary, and Parliamentarian. I have served on almost all of the committees within Quota International of Gridley and helped charter Quota International of Oroville within our District. My personal job history includes a degree in accounting focusing on small business.
What are your goals for your specific region?
My first goal as Regional Director would be to work on creating a smooth transition from districts and areas to regions. In order to accomplish this goal, I would be committed to forming a useful communication format that connects members with their leadership. Creating an enewsletter would be one means of information sharing, but I would also support a way to connect with non-internet users. Additionally, I would organize a group of responsible members to assist me in carrying out the regional duties and help me to work towards encouraging growth and development of JQ’s and clubs within our region.
What do you do outside of Quota?
I am a very family oriented person. I have been married for 26 years to my wonderful Quota husband Gene and we enjoy spending time with our three grandchildren. We are celebrating five years cancer free, Gene had leukemia, and enjoying every day on our Ranch working with his quarter horses. Along with my siblings, I am currently supporting my Dad as he has become the primary care giver for my mom who has Alzheimer’s disease. We also enjoy traveling with our RV and camping with friends. I love keeping in touch with old friends and making new friends.
What else would you like to share with the members of your region?
I have been very fortunate to have been mentored by some wonderful Quotarians from the QI of Gridley Club, as well as, some great Quotarians from District 36 and the West Area. With a love of history it was easy for me to spend hours talking with these ladies about Quota’s past. I believe hearing and learning about the past helps me want to secure a bright future for this incredible organization. I am known for being very organized and am able to identify other member’s skills and talents and utilize them for the benefit of Quota International.
