Cindy joined Quota International of Fort Lauderdale in 2001 and became a Charter Member of Quota International of Coral Springs/Parkland in 2002. She was a member of the team that started the very first Junior Quota Club in 2003. Cindy served as club president, from 2004-2006 and went on to serve as the Governor for District 27 from 2009-2011. As an international vice president, Cindy’s vision for the future of Quota International is to continue moving forward with the “Quota of Tomorrow” plan, helping with a smooth transition into the new governing structure, and expanding Quota’s presence around the world. This includes building support for Quota’s Hand-in-Hand World Service Projects gaining more recognition for service in the US, while also growing Junior Quota Clubs, and using technology to gain new members through the development of cyber clubs, and maintain membership by creating virtual attendance options.
Working TOGETHER we can move Quota forward, one step at a time!
While studying management and marketing at Western Michigan University, Cindy earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration. Since then, she has owned and operated a successful small business in South Florida for the past 35 years. Over the years, it has grown into a multi-generational family business with a strong local presence. Owning a small business requires her to wear many hats and to be skilled in all aspects of the job. These experiences have helped Cindy to become skilled at listening and bringing people and their ideas together for the betterment of all.
Cindy married her high school sweetheart and has two wonderful children who were both born Deaf. This led her into the world of service where she has been an advocate for Deaf children and their educational rights for over 20 years. For 15 of those years, she served as a member of the board for a non-profit organization that supports Deaf children and their families and has been supporting the Florida School for the Deaf since 2004. Cindy really wants to help those less fortunate than she. What better way to reach more people in need than with our worldwide organization, Quota International!
Serving as an international board member, Cindy’s focus is on expanding Quota’s mission serving those who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired.
