South Pacific Area Director
June Young

HOME CLUB:
Quota International of Liverpool

NSW, Australia

June Young wants to encourage future growth of Quota. She
would like to “see Quota go forward with new direction under the changes being proposed.” In particular, June would like to gain universal publicity and recognition for Quota projects, past and present, which would ultimately result in attracting new members to the organization.

June has been a member of Quota International for 16 years and served as Governor of District 35 from 2000-2002.

June’s career path has included 23 years as a practicing Justice of the Peace for New South Wales, Australia. While traveling with her husband in the military, June spent years of service managing army canteen stores, supporting an army crafts store, and managing a regional trade store. In 1979, she collected her varied experience and opened Stage Struck, a retail ballet, theater, craft, and bridal establishment. This business extended to become the largest independent retailer of its kind, and although June sold the business in 2001, she continues to produce costumes for retail outlets.

June was recognized by Rotary International in 2001 as a Paul Harris Fellow for service to the community. She has also been recognized by the city of Liverpool as Business Person of the Year and received the city of Liverpool’s Heritage Award in recognition of service to business and the community. She received the combined service club Women of Achievement Award for outstanding service to her community.
