Maureen Taylor reports that her future vision for Quota is to attract and recruit a new generation of members with innovative fund-raisers and creative projects and to retain both new and existing members by keeping clubs vital, innovative, and ever-expanding in their own communities. A major component needs to focus on more education for new members. Maureen, a charter member of Quota International of Penticton for 20 years and the clubs current treasurer, traveled Quota Internationals leadership track and served as District 11 Governor from 1993 to 1995. In addition, internationally, she has participated as a member of the World Service Committee under then Quota International President Ilse Mitchell. Outside of Quota, Maureen serves as the Executive Officer of the South Okanagan Real Estate Board. Maureens business background includes banking; being a successful realtor; owning a real estate/property management office; and for the past five years, managing her local real estate board of 225 members as the executive officer, reporting to a volunteer board of directors. She says that she would like to share with the world of Quota her experience and skills in finance, management, teaching, and team playing. Maureens other volunteer and community activities include volunteering for Ironman Canada for 20 years and teaching piano privatelyher creative outlet. Maureen reports that she is also the mother of two musical daughters, aged 24 and 25. |
