Enid Croes-Maruggs future vision for Quota International is worldwide recognition of Quotas commitment to serve programs assisting disadvantaged women and children and hearing- and speech-impaired individuals. Enid believes that recognition will be achieved by concentrated efforts addressing these needs on the club level. On the international level, she says, Quota will strive to champion these areas by seeking public forums globally. Growth in recognition and prestige will make Quota the organization of choice internationally; this will result in growing numbers of new members, which will strengthen Quotas efforts even more. As treasurer, Enid is committed to seeking ways of improving our returns on investments and adopting dynamic financing methods to control costs in order to strengthen our financial position on the whole to ensure a sound financial future for the organization. In doing so, it will be my aim to maintain all members duly and timely informed of our financial strengths, challenges, and issues. Enid has been a Quota member in Aruba for 14 years and previously held the position of 2002-2004 South Area Director. She served as Governor of District 42 from 1999 to 2000 and has also served on the International Service Committee, New Club Organizer Committee, Bylaws Committee, and International Development Committee. Her professional background is in Business Operations Management, Retail Management, and Human Resources Management, the area in which she holds a Masters Degree. She possesses over 25 years of experience in the management of her family-owned business, which includes six stores, three copy centers, an office-automation unit, an institutional sales unit, and a wholesale distribution unit. Outside Quota, Enid has been a member of the board of the Foundation of the Deaf of Aruba for 14 years, member of the Social Economic Council for Aruba since March 2000, member (and Past President) of the Womens Club of Aruba, member of the board of the Foundation for the Mentally Handicapped of Aruba for five years, member and officer of the Order of Eastern Star of Aruba for 16 years, and an officer of the Aruba Tivoli Club, the eldest social club in Aruba, which introduced the Carnival in Aruba. She has won a variety of awards for her volunteer efforts in the community. |
