President-elect

Carolyn Rice

HOME CLUB:
Quota International of Parkes

NSW, Australia

Carolyn Rice envisions Quota as a “strong, viable organization, well prepared and able to meet all the challenges of our future.” As Quota International President-elect, Carolyn is committed to a continued focus on:

  • Membership growth and retention, including increased visibility within our Quota communities.

  • Gaining more funding for Quota service work through the We Share Foundation.

  • Effective programs that engender a passionate commitment to Quota’s goals.

  • The strong commitment to continued acknowledgement and reward for members, clubs, and districts in all areas of their achievement.

  • An environment of encouragement and motivation across Quota’s world.

Carolyn believes in keeping members apprised of the many issues facing Quota, so that they, too, can make informed decisions about the future of the organization. As Carolyn says, “Nothing is beyond our reach if we reach out together.”

A Quotarian for 16 years, Carolyn was Quota International Treasurer from 2002-2003. She served as Governor of District 26 from 1998 to 2000 and then South Pacific Area Director from 2001 to 2003. In 2001, Carolyn was appointed chair of the We Share Foundation’s International Service Committee.

Carolyn possesses over 35 years involvement in all aspects of community service, serving on management committees in many organizations, including chairman of the Meals on Wheels program. Her involvement with local schools was recognized through a lifetime membership in the New South Wales Parents and Citizens Association for Public Schools.

For more than 35 years, Carolyn has worked as a partner, director and company secretary in her family-owned agricultural enterprise. She is actively involved in handling the livestock and grain trading both locally and overseas, most of which is now accomplished via the Internet. All family members participate in both the management and day-to-day operations of the company.
