| Beatriz Doran-Scoop has been a Quota member for 15 years and served as the 27th
District Governor from 1994 to 1995.
My goal is for Quota to grow through innovation. Being part of a change is the strategy that will help our organization face the next millennium. Redefining Quota will interest the next generation in joining a rejuvenated service organization. Outside of Quota, Beatrizs professional experience has been varied. She is a human resource manager, a sociologist, a consultant in management and organization development, and a university teacher of organizational analysis. She has served the Netherlands Antilles as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Health and Environment, senator, and president of her political party. In addition, she has also hosted a popular radio talk show for five years. At the age of 15, Beatriz was the chess champion of Curaçao! Beatriz has recently been appointed as an Officer of the Dutch Order of Oranje-Nassau by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. This honor, one of three orders of knighthood instituted by Acts of Parliament in the Netherlands, is awarded to individuals who serve their community. To qualify, one must have performed exceptional deeds in their working environment, contributed greatly to country and community, and fostered international understanding and cultural exchanges. In addition, Beatriz is a board member of the Cultural Centre of Curaçao. Return to 2002-2003 Board of Directors main page. Click to see next Board member's page.
