South Pacific Area Director Chris Tracey-Patte envisions Quota as the service club everyone aspires to join.

HOME CLUB:
Quota International of Beaudesert

QLD, Australia

South Pacific Area Director Chris Tracey-Patte envisions Quota as the service club everyone aspires to join. Its membership recognizes and works with its competitive advantage to send a strong, simple message to the community to further its membership and service goals and is confident in its ability to influence change, regardless of location.

Having demonstrated the ability to work with people to set and achieve goals in both her professional and Quota life, Chris brings a collaborative approach to leadership. A 21-year member of Quota International of Beaudesert, she has played a number of leadership roles at the local level, including president (four terms), treasurer (four terms), secretary, and board director. Chris has served District 30 as World Service chair, a member of the Vial of Life Committee, lieutenant governor, and district governor, as well as Jimboomba club organizer and Boonah organizing lieutenant governor. As a member of the Budget and Finance Committee and attendant at eight international conventions and nine South Pacific area meetings, she has gained leadership experience at Quota's area and international levels, and her work has been recognized with a Founders Award.

Chris balances her Quota work with a busy professional life; in her 22 years as a rural general practitioner, she has built solo practices at two medical centers and is the director of her medical and investment companies. She has served on the Board of Directors of Southern Queensland Rural Division of General Practice and is a member of various professional organizations. Her academic experiences include post-graduate fellowships in general practice and rural medicine and positions teaching rural medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Chris is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has gained experience in sales and accounting.

Chris is also active in the local medical community in a volunteer capacity; she is a member of the Logan-Beaudesert District Health Council (chair, 6 years); past secretary, Friends of Beaudesert Hospital; and a past member of the Queensland Ambulance Auxiliary and South Coast Regional Health Authority. She also serves as a parish councilor and past member of the local kindergarten and school committees.
