Judy Goulet's vision for Quota is to see more clubs in Canada. Judy encourages clubs in close proximity to charter together so that they can work on projects together and meet to share ideas and fellowship. Judy believes that this is important in the whole Quota world, but singles out Canada because that is where her focus will be. Judy became a Quotarian in November 1988. She has held the offices of treasurer, secretary, and president and has chaired the Ways and Means, Community Service, International, and Membership and Growth committees. She reports that she has thoroughly enjoyed her Quota years and always participates in any project the club conducts. Judy has also served as lieutenant governor and governor of District 11 in Canada. Judy is a bookkeeper by profession, and she and her husband have always been actively involved in the bookkeeping and office management areas. Judy worked for 20 years as assistant manager/bookkeeper at a hotel and has two casual positions as administrative assistant at the Alberta Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission and the Community Health Office. Outside of Quota, Judy is very active in the United Church. She served
as treasurer for a number of years and is currently vice-chair of the
board. Judy was always active in events her children were involved in
when growing up: Brownies, Guides, figure skating, and dance. In her spare
time, she loves to read, golf, knit and crochet, and, last but not least,
spend as much time as she can with her eight grandchildren. |
