Suzanne Prosser believes that by creating a global marketing campaign, Quota International will raise its profile around the world. Suzanne says that by "branding" the organization's image, increased Quota awareness will be created in new and existing club communities. A marketing campaign with continuity will create interest for those seeking to volunteer their time to an organization so rich in valuable service. Suzanne says, "Quota is the best kept secret in the world," and she believes it is time to share that secret with the world! "We have wonderful service projects that touch lives around the world; we just need to let everyone know who we are so we can do our good work in many more communities and countries." Suzanne's vision is to have Quota in every country around the world, and she believes that this can be done by branding with "the Big Blue Q." Suzanne has dedicated the past 15 years to Quota as club and district parliamentarian; chair, Fund-raising, Development and Growth and Community Service committees; club president; lieutenant governor, District 18; governor, District 18; project director, Helene MacKenzie Trust Fund; chair, Menopause Event (won both district and international awards). Internationally she has served on the Disadvantaged Women and Children Committee; attended and participated in governors seminars; and chaired the 2005-2007 International World Service Committee. Throughout her Quota years, she has attended eight conventions and 16 conferences, developing lasting friendships worldwide. In her professional life, after 33 years in retail and marketing, Suzanne has changed her career: She has recently taken the position of Manager of Fund-raising, Marketing and Development for the Bob Rumball Center of the Deaf (BRCD) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Suzanne is responsible for leading a team to increase the organization's fund-raising activities to support the many programs offered by the center. Through creating an awareness campaign, Suzanne is encouraging donations to the BRCD's Camp for the Deaf, the Seniors Long Term Care Facility, and the organization's day care programs. In addition, donations she raises provide outreach programs for families with deaf children as well as ASL sign language programs for tots to seniors. Suzanne believes that it was her affiliiation with Quota International and the many leadership roles that she has assumed that have prepared her for this new professional journey. She says Quota has enriched her life in many ways and has been a mentor, silently preparing her for her new career. In addition to her career and her Quota International work, Suzanne finds time to volunteer with the Ontario Provincial Police for 911 and the Child Find Program. She also enjoys travel, golf, dancing, and stained glass. |
