Vicki Miller
District 21
QI of Mississippi Gulf Coast, Mississippi, U.S.A.

1. How long have you been a member of Quota International?
6 years

2. Why did you join Quota International?
I believe that we all have one job on this earth: to love and serve one another. Alone, I can help a few. Together, we can help so many more! What a powerful tool Quota is! We have the capability of serving our communities right here at home and reaching out to thousands around the world.

3. What has been your most meaningful Quota experience?
I had never been on the receiving end of Quota's love and support until Hurricane Katrina. In less than a "heartbeat," my beloved Gulf Coast was sent financial assistance and well wishes from around the world. What a privilege it was for me to be able to distribute gifts, money, and emotional support provided by Quotarians. We've still so much to do; we no longer have time for tears. Every day is a new challenge. I thank God every day for Quota. Together, we will rebuild and recover!

4. What are your goals for your year as governor?

  • Improve communications from the clubs to the district and international level.
  • Encourage clubs to increase membership by providing them ideas and support year round.
  • Explore the possibility of starting a new club or branch in Alabama and another on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
  • Increase attendance at district conference by at least 30 percent.

5. What are your activities and interests outside of Quota?
I am a member of the Advisory Council for the Salvation Army, special events marketing coordinator for the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, promotions assistant for Clear Channel Radio, and art director for Senior Scene magazine. I sing weekly for my church, St. Mark's Episcopal, and occasionally with my brothers in our band called "Tribute." I am also a freelance marketing and advertising consultant; wife to a wonderful "Quotation Mark," Tom; mother to a Navy sailor, Josh; and "stepgrammy" to six beautiful grandchildren! If I have any spare moments, I paint Christmas ornaments and scrapbook!
