Terri
Norton
District 17
Quota International of Amherst, New York, U.S.A.
1. How long have you been a member of Quota International?
9 years
2. Why did you join Quota International?
I joined because of Josephine Warren, the founder of the Bath, New York,
club, and because I was so impressed with the members of the Corning-Painted
Post club and their enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to be of service
to their fellow man.
3. What has been your most meaningful Quota experience?
A chance to learn new things every week with new experiences all the time.
Quota gives us each the chance to grow as a person and rise above our
own expectations of ourselves. It goes without saying that the service
work we do is the most gratifying as well as humbling.
4. What are your goals for your year as governor?
At this point, I have so many that I know I will have to realistically
pare down a bit. I would need five years to do them all. Among them are:
hold our current membership, increase the existing memberships enthusiasm
and interest in Quota, grow a bit, and have strongly involved committees.
5. What are your activities and interests outside of Quota?
Reading, traveling, chasing my grandchildren, lunches out with friends
at really nice places that my husband doesn't take me to, casinos (once
in a while, of course!).
