Bevard-Bagwell
District 16
QI of South Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.A.
How long have you been a member of Quota International?
8 years
Why did you join Quota International?
I see Quota as a way to make a difference in my community. It is often
hard for an individual to make a difference, but together through Quota
we can make a big difference in our community by assisting others.
What has been your most meaningful Quota experience?
My most meaningful Quota experience has been the lifelong friendships
that I have acquired through Quota. Quota friends are always there for
you, even when you leave and transfer to another club. The best way to
get to know someone is to work with them. In Quota I have had an opportunity
to roll up my sleeves and get to know some wonderful people, while helping
others in need.
What are your goals for your year as governor?
- Improve communication within the district beginning with a district
newsletter. Improve communication between the clubs in my district and
International, while encouraging members to attend joint meetings, the
district conference, and the Central Area meeting.
- Increase the number of members in District 16.
- Continue to work on member retention within the clubs.
What are your activities and interests outside of Quota?
I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family. I currently volunteer
for the chamber of commerce, the Optimists, the Elks, and the ladies'
ministry at my church.
