Convention Workshops

Make the most of your convention experience. Brown-bag Lunch and Learn Workshops (optional for all convention attendees) are planned on a range of club and personal development topics. Purchase “brown bag” lunches outside workshop rooms. Workshop participation is free for all registrants. Choose one of four to attend on Thursday, July 12, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., during the lunch break.

Quota World Service: Connect with Our Projects in Person

Quota’s Hand-in-Hand World Service projects change lives and save lives. Come and learn more about the projects that interest you most. After a short opening presentation by Past International President Beris Pritchard, an expert on Quota’s World Service projects, you are invited to travel around the room and visit one-on-one Hand-in-Hand exhibits staffed by Hand-in-Hand club members. Ask your questions and learn more.

Talking Your Way to the Top: Communication Strategies of Successful Women

This personal growth seminar is focused on learning the landmines of communication that are specific to women and the successful communication strategies that help women achieve their personal and career goals. The course is taught by Bobbie Carey who has worked in corporate communications for 20 years. Her company TCI has won voter referendums and issue campaigns with persuasive messages and coaching executives to be effective communicators. Bobbie has an MA in Speech from LSU and an MBA from Tulane University. She is a past president of Quota International.
