Central Area Director
Quota International of
WI, United States
As Central Area Director Judy Walthers says, “Members Matter,” and she is eager to share the Quota experience and help shape tomorrow’s Quota. Judy believes Quotarians are at a pivotal point and it is vital that the organization attracts a new generation of members to join in continuing Quota’s tradition of local and worldwide service. Through initiatives like Quota’s Listening Tour and new promotional tools, Judy believes Quota is focusing on attracting a wider demographic while creating greater awareness.
Judy’s Quota experience began at age 29 as the charter vice-president of Quota International of Platteville, Wisconsin. Since then, she has served as club president three times—once in Platteville and twice in Kenosha-Racine. In 2005, she was honored by her club and district as Quotarian of the Year. Judy served as governor of District 22 from 2006-2008 and was invited to be a member of the 2010 Quota International Bylaws Committee. Judy is particularly proud to have introduced Julia Burney and her Cops ‘n’ Kids Reading Program to Quota International.
Judy began a retail career as the owner and operator of three bridal shops and later managed two women’s fashion stores. For the past nine years, she has been employed with an independent, non-profit hospice agency as the development coordinator. Her duties include community outreach.
Past activities include serving as the first female president of the Platteville, Wisconsin, Chamber of Commerce; board member of Platteville United Way; and a board member with the Racine Dominican Sponsored Ministries. Presently, Judy is a program committee member of the Racine Dominican Eco Justice Center and a member of the Kenosha Women’s Network.
