South Pacific Area Director Denise Rowell is proud to be a Quotarian and her vision for Quota’s future is an organization that will grow and prosper with the continued enthusiasm and commitment of every member. Denise believes, “as technology changes, we are given the gift of moving our Quota experience forward in new and exciting ways while honoring the traditions that are meaningful to us all. Every member is an asset in our Quota bank of experience; together we can create the positive environment that will impact the community by encouraging stronger and more visible clubs.”
Denise has been a member of Quota International for 28 years. Her extensive Quota experience includes holding all club and district leadership positions, serving on the 2010 Quota International Bylaws Committee, and co-presenting the Convention 2008 First Timers Program. While serving as governor from 2006 to 2008, Denise rewrote District 34 Standing Rules; she also has served as parliamentarian at several district conferences.
Outside of Quota, Denise oversees finance and administration at her family’s construction company. Previously, Denise owned and operated a ladies fashion boutique for 14 years, worked as a construction company secretary/stock controller/receptionist, and served as a land court typist.
Denise’s volunteer activities included a 12-year tenure as secretary/treasurer of the Queensland Laser Association (where she was honored with Life Membership for her services); serving as School P&C Committee secretary; and working on the Uniform/Canteen Organising Committee for the New High School. In her leisure time, Denise enjoys reading, embroidery, and boating.
