Quota International of Beenleigh Inc., Queensland, Australia
Our Quota Cares Month project
The project was based around helping special education children (especially those of a hearing and speech disability) around the community discover the joy of music and movement, with an interactive ZUMBA lesson and music class for the children. A second ZUMBA GOLD class was then run for members of the community and members of the club to show them that moving and grooving are a good fun way to keep fit and healthy.
How did our QCM project benefit our community?
Through the publicity before and after the event in the local paper, the Albert and Logan News, information at other community sites as well as with the opportunity to show what quota does on the day, Quota International of Beenleigh received two perspective members from this event and were able to advertise a little of what Quota does in and for the community
How did our QCM project benefit our club / members?
This project was a great benefit and a lot of fun for all who were involved, especially the children who came for the day. The members were able to enjoy the satisfaction gained by the children’s success and were able to learn that fitness can be fun with the ZUMBA GOLD class. It was a feeling throughout the club that the “Feel the Music” event was a new and energetic direction for the club to explore as a group and it was wholeheartedly felt that the day was a success.
