Debra Ann Erwin joined Quota International of Sioux City in 2007. From the time she joined, she has been a high impact participant. Deb served as Club Treasurer for two years, before taking on one of the club’s biggest challenges, serving as Chair of the Finance Committee. The Charitable Foundation’s Finance Committee coordinates the annual Tour of Gardens, the club’s major fund raiser.

During her first year as Finance chair, Deb implemented many decisions that resulted in a significantly larger margin of profit for the event, or increased revenue for the Foundation
to continue community and world service projects. In 2012, Deb added and developed a new fund raiser at the President’s request. As a first-time fund raiser, the “Quarters for Quota Auction” was a huge success. At present, Deb is chairing the 2013 Tour of Gardens.

By virtue of her position as accountant at the Holiday Inn where Quota of Sioux City holds its weekly meetings, Deb has become a liaison, hostess, and advocate for the Club.

Deb’s other volunteer service includes the following:

  • Volunteer Mom in multiple capacities to support her daughter Stephanie, including class mom, team mom, and dance mom, PTO member, head coach of daughter’s basketball and softball team, and Secretary of the High School Music Boosters Club.
  • Beta Sigma Phi sorority member since 1992 and office holder as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, as well as Voted “Sweet Heart Queen” and “Woman of the Year.”
  • Active member of Nativity Church where she taught Sunday school, served on the usher’s team and women’s club, and assists in church activities. She also served on Board of local Christian singles’ group.

With great enthusiasm, Quota International of Sioux City nominates Debra Erwin for Quota’s 2013 Volunteer of the Year Award.
