Quota International of Lawrence, MA, Massachusetts, USA
Our Quota Cares Month project
We prepared 125 sandwiches-ham and cheese on Italian bread, ham and cheese on a roll, and tuna; as well as a big pot of Italian Wedding Soup. This food was brought to Lazarus house, a homeless shelter that we have supported for many years, and distributed to the ‘bridge’ people-homeless who live under the bridge in Lawrence.
How did our QCM project benefit our community?
We were photographed by the local newspaper, The Eagle Tribune, and a story and picture was published in one of the issue. we haven’t gotten any new members yet, but we have gotten a lot of positive feedback from non members.
How did our QCM project benefit our club / members?
All the members that could donate a Friday morning were in attendance-(we had 3-4 who had to work)-All the members were given a job that best suited their abilities-we laughed, joked, chatted and bonded over the assembly line to put the sandwiches together. Our ‘quotations’-members husbands-helped that day as well.
