QI of Wooster is honored to nominate Nina Cicconetti as Volunteer of the Year. She joined QI of Wooster in 2003. However, in 2006 she had to resign because her husband became ill with cancer and passed away. It was a very hard year for Nina but with her Quota friendships and support that she re-joined in 2007.
She regained her sense of joy through her contributions to others. Taking care of other became a driving force in Nina’s life. She is a member of Kiwanis, Ordained Deacon / Presbyterian Church, Wooster Wrestling volunteer, Wayne County Business Referral Group President, Founder of “Simply Single” in coalition with 15 churches as an outreach for singles providing support services, Italian Festa Volunteer, Host mother and Mentor for College of Wooster students, People to People Ministries back to school project volunteer, monthly meeting organizer and facilitator for widows and widowers going through grief recovery, ladies night every Sunday night in her home, girls softball sponsor since 2000, and sponsors a $1000 college scholarship each year in memory of her husband.
With all that she does for the community she is a driving force in QI of Wooster where she has been on the board for the past two years, is the youth committee chairperson, participates in the famous “sign choir”, fair parking volunteer, and on the steering committee for “Quota Idol”.
She is the Owner Operator of Post Net in Wooster. She has three grown children, all successful in their careers.
In quoting Nina about her life, “Everything in life is an evolution which leads to spiritual growth and her connection to God”. She is inspiring in words and service to all that know her.
