Jennifer Myers’ passion has been helping women and children through mentoring and raising funds for special programs and events in Indiana County. A recognized leader during her 20-year tenure with S&T Bank, Myers has put her leadership skills to use with local organizations such as Quota International of Indiana and the YMCA of Indiana County to raise funds and awareness in pursuit of this passion.
Myers has belonged to Quota International for 11 years, during which time she has been president, past president, board member and, currently serves as fundraising co-chairwoman and secretary. She works with other club members to support causes to help disadvantaged women and children and the hearing impaired. During the past seven years, she has organized the club’s major fundraiser, the St. Patty’s Open, which has yielded $75,000 for organizations such as Big Hearts-Little Hands, Salvation Army Treasurers for Children, Alice Paul House and ICCAP, as well as mentoring initiatives of the Quota club. As a member of the club’s Mentoring Committee, Myers reaches out to disadvantaged children and provides them with essential life skills through career fairs, interviewing skills, etiquette dinners and one-on-one interaction, as well as organized fun activities. The programs have touched the lives of more than 150 children in the area. Myers recently has co-chaired an event for Alice Paul House which raised approximately $50,000 for things such as new beds, a fenced play area, playground equipment and a basketball court.
In a nutshell, Jennifer Myers epitomizes the true spirit of Quota. We in Indiana, PA are honored to call her our sister Quotarian.
