Quota International of Glen Innes Inc, New South Wales, Australia
Kerrie epitomises Quota values and has actively demonstrated the ideals of sharing and giving since she joined Quota in 1987.
Kerrie is the current President and has held all executive positions during her 25 years membership. Fully supported by the club, Kerrie has also led District 24 as District Governor.
Quota is not the only organisation in Glen Innes to benefit from Kerrie’s community spirit. Her commitment to improving the lives of others is demonstrated through VIEW club and a number of committees of the local Council including the Access committee which raises awareness and promotes the benefits of improved access for people with disabilities, seniors, carers, parents with prams and so on.
Kerrie’s particular passion is hearing and speech and as such, her goal in her current term as president has been to fund new audiometry equipment for the local hospital. With a number of significant fundraisers recently held, the club has achieved this goal with additional funds being put toward needy families for Christmas.
As the chairperson of the Club’s Hearing and Speech committee 2 years ago, Kerrie was able to source an installer for two sound amplification systems at the local Services club. Many large functions and most Service club meetings are held at this club and the sound amplification systems have been extremely beneficial to a significant number of people.
This award is fitting recognition of Kerrie’s contribution not only to Quota but to the community at large.
Quota International of Glen Innes Inc is proud to acknowledge Kerrie Sturtridge as our Volunteer of the Year for 2013.
