Project Shiksha: Nutrition and Education for Children

Quota International of DLF City celebrated Teachers Day on September 5, 2012. Project Shiksha children participated enthusiastically in the program. They recited poems for their teachers, which talked about the valuable contribution of teachers in shaping their lives. Students also gave them shawls and sweets as gifts. In turn the teachers recited poems for the children, mentioning the value of education and reading. The function was fun and well attended by Quota volunteers. On the occasion, an Aqua Guard (Water Purifier) was donated jointly by DLF City members Bhumi Nagpal, Usha Sekhri and a friend of Quota Rachna Jain. Now the children and patients can enjoy safe drinking water. Click here to learn more about QI of DLF City’s Hand-in-Hand project.
