Hearing and Speech Clinic for Deaf Students

Many families were affected by the recent storm that hit Manila and the outlying provinces. At the Philippine School for the Deaf, 60 students were identified by the school officials as severely hit and still suffer the consequence of the floods to this day. As a call to action, QI of Manila South put together care pails filled with 2 kilos of rice, 5-6 items of food, water, laundry and wash soaps, towel, blanket, flashlight, alcohol and a multiple-vitamin syrup to temporarily provide some relief. In fact during the distribution, 5 children were absent as water was still waist-high in their area despite the improvement of the weather. The picture shown above cannot begin to describe their whoops of joy as they received the pails! Their hand signs of, "I love you" and their beautiful smiles still doesn't say it all. This was the very first form of help they had received after the storm. Your donations made this happen and QI of Manila South is very grateful for being the conduit.
