Shirlee Dolan — Quota International of Alameda Oakland — Alameda, CA
Date of Death: February 24th, 2012
Shirlee Dolan died Friday, February 2nd, the way she lived on her own terms. She worked up until mid-January and was still out and about in February. She was a strong lady. She was a dear friend to many. She always had a twinkle in her eyes and a smile on her face. She was a role model for many of us and taught us so much about Quota. She truly believed in Quota and the opportunities Quota brought us. Shirlee traveled to all the International Conferences all over the world and to all the Area meetings and district conferences and donated generously to Quota causes. Shirlee Dolan was a past District 12 governor and a devoted Quotarian who supported all the clubs in district 12 by attending many of their events. As governor, I counted on Shirlee’s wise counsel and guidance as our parliamentarian. We will truly miss Shirlee Dolan not only as parliamentarian but as a friend who represented Quota in the best possible way. Many of us were grateful that we were able to see Shirlee at the Quota birthday party in San Jose. I will always remember her smile and assurance that she would always be there for us. Shirlee Dolan will be remembered especially by our District 12 Cabinet for her friendship, kindness and advice. Our prayers are with you.
