Four boys – 10 year old triplets and a 4 year old would keep anyone busy, but Melinda Gelsinger still finds time to volunteer all across Wake County.

Some of these activities include being grade parent in two of the triplets’ classrooms at Swift Creek Elementary School. Additionally, every Tuesday she prepares “Tuesday Folders” in all three classrooms.  Melinda volunteers for all their special events, including the big fundraiser “Fun Run”.  This year she was grade parent for the “Cotillion”.

She volunteers at church for “Faith Formation”.

Melinda keeps Swim Team records for the NCSU Alumni Association. She co-chaired their Alumni Weekend last October.

In her neighborhood she is a “Kid Pusher” for all swim meets and helps with refreshments at all summer meets.  She is also record keeper for the neighborhood swim team.

And volunteering for her Quota Club – as a member for the last two years Melinda served pizza at the Wake Enterprises Christmas Party, assisted with the preparation of blankets for the Linus project, made cards for the Ronald McDonald house, and served as a greeter for the annual Parade of Homes.

We are proud to name Melinda Gelsinger as Volunteer of the Year for Quota International of the Triangle.
