Quota International of Canton, Ohio has selected member Sharon Barker as the club’s Volunteer of the Year for 2012.

Sharon is a woman of many talents.  She has over 30 years experience in the mortgage lending field.  She began her career in Texas where she was employed as a loan coordinator and loan underwriter.  After returning to Ohio, she worked for a number of firms, including  Residential Bancorp, Mortgage One/Wells Fargo and Union National Mortgage.  In 2011 she began working with the CSE Federal Credit Union as a mortgage loan officer.

Sharon is equally well-known for her work with various community organizations.  They include SCAR Charitable Foundation Have a Heart Committee; she is an affiliate member of the Stark County Association of Realtors, the Women’s Council of Realtors Governing Board; and is an affiliate director of the Stark County Association of Realtors Governing Board.  Her fundraising ability for charitable organizations is well recognized in the real estate field.

Sharon joined the Canton Quota Club in 2005.  She has previously chaired several committees, including Archives and Ways and Means. She has co-chaired two highly successful fundraisers.  She has been a Director for two years.  Sharon is particularly admired by the membership for two reasons:  her ability to plan and execute successful fundraisers, and her creativity and imagination in planning unique events.   Our membership appreciates the fact that if Sharon is in charge of something, it will be successful and memorable.  Attendees at our 2010 6th District Conference were literally transported to the Land of Oz during Sunday Brunch, thanks to Sharon’s creative genius.

The Quota Club of Canton is extremely fortunate that Sharon Barker found her way to our club.  Thank you Sharon, for your time, talent and inspiration!
