The members of Quota International of Valdosta, Georgia, were able to express their gratitude to local military families as they sponsored their annual back-to-school fair. Sixty pre-school and school-aged children of enlisted parents from Moody Air Force Base in Georgia participated in the festivities. The children received bags of school supplies complete with a $40 Wal-Mart gift card.
Sigma Delta Theta, a high school sorority, offered their services as well, by providing face painting and thumb print art. And because it wouldn’t be a party without treats, Valdosta Quotarians supplied pizza and soft drinks. The real treat of the day, however, was the enjoyment parents and Quotarians alike got from watching smiles on the children’s faces as they celebrated the start of the school year.
